WELBILT DEMONSTRATES LOCAL COMMITMENT AT ITS HERBORN AND EGLFING SITES

Eglfing/Herborn, Germany (18 December 2025) – Welbilt, a global leader in innovative kitchen technology and a proud member of the Ali Group, is demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility in the regions surrounding its German locations. Through targeted donations in Central Hesse and Upper Bavaria, the company, together with its employees, supports local community institutions, helping to set an example for sustainable, local engagement.

At its Herborn site, Welbilt supported the Otfried Preußler School in Dillenburg with a Christmas donation of €2,000. The amount was raised by the company and its employees equally. The special needs school, with a focus on intellectual development, supports children and young people with special needs and places great emphasis on individualized support and practical life skills. The donation was presented to the school’s active support association, which enables additional projects and purchases that enrich everyday school life for the students.

“It is particularly important to us to support institutions in our region that do outstanding work for children and young people,” said Andrea Bernhardt, Authorized Officer at Welbilt. “With our donation, we hope to help further enrich the daily school life of the students.”

Welbilt, through its Convotherm brand,  is also committed to the region at its Eglfing site in Upper Bavarian. The combi oven manufacturer supported the Elterninitiative Intern 3 im Haunerschen Kinderspital e. V. in Munich with a donation of €5,600. The amount was raised through an internal employee fundraising campaign, with matched funding from Convotherm.  Compared to last year, the initiative raised more.

“The higher amount compared to last year is a result of joint contributions from both the workforce and the company: many employees donated more generously than last year,” said Andrea Sauer, Director Finance and Deputy Managing Director at Convotherm.

The funds will benefit additional services and treatment concepts for young patients and help finance important positions. The official handover of the donation took place at the Convotherm Christmas celebration in December.

The Elterninitiative Intern 3 im Haunerschen Kinderspital e. V. makes a valuable contribution to families in challenging situations. Every year our workforce shows an impressive level of commitment to this cause. The joint rounding-up amplifies this effort, giving more impact to the donation,” explained Claus Pedersen, Managing Director of Convotherm.
